ALL THAT JAZZ – 40th Anniversary!

Join The Royal Cinema this February 27 for a special 40th anniversary screening of ALL THAT JAZZ!

“In ALL THAT JAZZ, Roy Scheider (JAWS) stars as a hyper-ambitious (and hyper-stressed) theater director living on the edge in this thinly-veiled autobiographical work helmed by the great Bob Fosse.

Choreographing and picking dancers for his current show while at the same time editing his feature film about a stand-up comedian is getting to Joe Gideon. Without a steady diet of various chemical substances, he would not have the energy to keep up with his girlfriend, his ex-wife, his daughter, and his career. They all attempt to bring him back from the brink, but it may be too late for his stress-ravaged heart and exhausted body. As workaholic Joe chain-smokes, binges on drugs, sleeps with his dancers, and overworks himself straight into a hospital bed, memories from his past begin to encroach on the present and he becomes increasingly aware of his mortality.” (Alamo Drafthouse)
