This Labor Day weekend, The Royal Cinema unleashes not one but TWO of the greatest road movies ever made. With Babe: Pig In The City and Mad Max: Fury Road, visionary director George Miller blessed the world with two equally ambitious nomadic adventures for the “hopepunk” generation (definition: the belief that genuinely and sincerely caring about something, anything, requires bravery and strength). To celebrate these glorious contributions to cinema we proudly present BABE: FURY ROAD (featuring a bonus Mad Max burlesque performance by Zilly Lilly preceding Mad Max: Fury Road), which will be an experience sure to go down in history as the most rambunctious and emotion-packed double bill to ever grace a cinema.

7:00pm – Babe: Pig In The City (DCP)

Burlesque performance by Zilly Lilly

9:00pm – Mad Max: Fury Road (35mm)

When Babe accidentally puts farmer Hoggett (James Cromwell) in traction, the debtors come looking for their payments. In order to pay their debt, Mrs. Hoggett (Magda Szubanski) sends Babe off across the ocean to the city to demonstrate his talents as a sheep herder. Along with his friends, Babe meets a lot of new friends and gets into new adventures.
