Calling all animal lovers! I Can Do That: Extracurriculars on Screen presents Beethoven (1992). Who let the dogs out? We did!

Join us at noon to meet some adorable adoptable dogs from local rescue organizations, who are looking for their fur-ever homes! Learn about the adoption process, fostering dogs in need, and volunteering with dog rescues. Best of all, there will be doggy cuddles in abundance – you’ll be sure to fall in puppy-love!

At 1PM we’ll sit down to watch as Beethoven is kidnapped as a puppy, makes a daring escape, and is accidentally adopted by the Newton family, after wandering into their house. While George Newton is frustrated by Beethoven’s messy habits, his wife, Alice, and their kids know that Beethoven is just what they need. The big friendly Saint Bernard helps Ryce talk to her crush, defends Ted from bullies, and even saves Emily after she falls in a pool.

When an evil scientist, pretending to be a caring vet, fakes a dog attack, he convinces George to give up Beethoven for the family’s safety. However, the Newtons soon discover the plot to experiment on Beethoven, and they race to save him, along with a warehouse full of other captured dogs!

This event is presented in partnership with Homeward Bound Rescue and Canine Haven Rescue, who will be on hand to introduce you to some adoptable dogs. There will also be a draw for some awesome animal rescue and doggy themed prizes – we’re paw-sitive you’ll love it!
