I Can Do That: SCHOOL OF ROCK + Live Rock Concert

Get ready to ROCK!

I Can Do That: Extracurriculars on Screen (www.facebook.com/ICanDoThatAtTheRoyal) presents the fabulously fun musical comedy School of Rock (2003), preceded by a live concert!

Dewey Finn is a guitar player with big dreams about winning Battle of the Bands, but when his on-stage antics get him kicked out of his band, he’s left floundering. With no musical prospects, and zero money for rent, Dewey has hit rock (and roll) bottom.

In a desperate attempt to make some quick cash, Dewey poses as a substitute teacher, and stumbles upon the band-mates of his dreams. The only problem? They’re his 10-year-old students.

Can Dewey (Jack Black) inspire and invigorate his class of straight-laced prep-school kids? Can he find harmony with their prim and proper Principal (Joan Cusack)? Or will he be discovered as a fraud before the big show?

Join us at noon for mini music lessons provided by Neighbour Note (www.neighbournote.ca), followed by rock band performances by some of their young students, and you could win the grand prize draw for a FREE week of summer music camp! Don’t miss this noteworthy event – it will definitely rock your socks!
