HOSTAGES is a tension-filled drama based on the true story of seven Georgian youth who attempted to escape the Soviet Union by hijacking an airplane in 1983.

Desperate to flee their claustrophobic lives, discover the world, and break free of their parent’s stifled views, Nika and Ana scheme for an audacious escape from the Soviet Union as their elite families prepare for their fast-approaching nuptuals. With the help of five like-minded friends, the young newlyweds board a local flight and swing into action. As pressure rises alongside the plane, suddenly nothing is going as planned.

Content Warning: gun violence.
