  • James Roque, September 23rd

The Kiwi-Pinoy Comedy Boy is back, hitting the road for his first-ever world tour with a brand new show, Mano Po.

A ‘mano po’ is a Filipino gesture of respect, given to your elders. And for Filipinos, you already know the fear: one day, it’s coming for you.

In 2025, James received his first serious ‘mano po’ request from a teenager which sent him into a spiral. Is he really old enough for this? What if he hasn’t done enough with his life? Is this what a mid-life crisis feels like? Should he get a motorcycle? Damn, life comes at you FAST.

A funny and heartfelt new hour about ageing, unpacking your life and the panic of realising you’ve become the adult – whether you’re ready or not.

Runner Up – Best Show, Vancouver Fringe 2024

Bruce McCulloch’s latest live show, Dark Purple Slice features his trademark dark humor with a warm human heart at the center. It premiered last year in Calgary in a run of 3 shows at One Yellow Rabbit’s High Performance Rodeo. The show, which includes plenty of Bruce’s trademark musical comedy, will launch alongside a new record, which Bruce is recording in the months ahead. As he takes the show on tour, the record will simultaneously release on Sirius radio.
